Technical subsections organizational rules - TheDoc - 11-25-2017

Of course, those rules come after the general rules of the forum.

Each and every technical subsection ("Computers/Commodore 8 bits" or "Consoles/Sega" in example) has two or three subforums :

- Documentation :
Manuals, procedures, datasheet, guides, anything helping the understanding of fixing something or leading to fixing something. It may be something to read as a document, a video or link an article on a website.

- Improvements :
Improvements are things made to improve the existing (a cartridge, a Gotek drive, an SDIEC ...), and spare parts replacements/improvements (A new IC replacing an old one, ...)

- Maintenance :
Here we share the problems we meet, and how we handle those, with specific cases we meet and handle. It's the place we interact the most in the technical forums Smile

These guidelines are here to make things clearer and faster for everyone :

- Put the machine reference or peripheral model first in your topic :
[C64] [1084S] [A500] [PSONE] [520ST] [C128] [MEGADRIVE] [ZX81] [1541] ... etc

Example : [C64] troubleshooting datasheet

- Be as precise as possible, any information is useful
